I am a nuclear engineering student at the University of California, Berkeley.  I find myself drawn not only to the technical aspect of nuclear engineering, but the political and social aspects as well. It seems that lately, the general public assumes that those who are “pro-nuclear” are either working in the industry or being paid by someone who works in the industry. As a student, I like to think that I’m exempt from that assumption, because I assure you, no one is paying me. All that I have to work with is what I learn in my studies at Cal, and that’s what I plan to share with you.
